Location
Overview
Onduli Ridge, named after the resident giraffe of the area, is thoughtfully positioned at the base of two south-facing granite outcrops connected by a natural ridge. This remarkable setting offers sweeping views of the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain, as well as the dramatic cathedral-like granite inselbergs that define the landscapes of Damaraland.
The six suites are carefully hidden amongst the granite boulders surrounding the retreat, allowing guests to feel fully immersed within the natural environment. The temperate climate of central Damaraland enables naturally ventilated suites, partially open-air bathrooms and expansive open communal spaces that seamlessly connect guests with the surrounding wilderness.
Every aspect of Onduli Ridge has been designed to maximise the extraordinary scenery, transforming bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces into uninterrupted viewpoints. Louvered shutters can be fully opened to blur the lines between indoors and nature or closed for complete privacy and comfort. King-size beds featuring climate-controlled Evening Breeze systems can also be rolled onto private decks for unforgettable nights beneath Namibia’s star-filled skies.
The retreat combines refined comfort, thoughtful detail and understated luxury with exceptional hospitality. Spacious suites, libraries, rain showers, crafted cuisine and immersive wilderness experiences create a stay that feels both deeply restorative and profoundly connected to the landscape.

Area
Onduli Ridge is located on a private concession within the Doro !Nawas Conservancy in the heart of Damaraland, just 20 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein. The landscape is characterised by rugged granite outcrops, open plains, wooded river valleys and semi-desert savannah, creating one of Namibia’s most visually striking wilderness regions.
The retreat enjoys exceptional views of the Brandberg and the iconic granite inselbergs that define Damaraland, while nearby geological attractions include the Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes and Doros Crater.
Doro !Nawas, meaning “the place where rhinos roam” in Khoekhoegowab, is home to desert-adapted black rhino, elephant and a wide variety of plains game. Predators such as cheetah, leopard, lion, spotted hyena and brown hyena also roam this remarkable ecosystem, creating a truly immersive wilderness experience.
